Extreme Solution’s team of developers and engineers are lending their expertise to MIT’s Safe Paths, a privacy-first contact tracing app for iOS/Android that aims to flatten the curve of COVID-19 through communities and governments joint tracing effort with user’s privacy as the cornerstone.
The Safe Paths Technology is dataprivacy first, by giving the user full control on what and how tracking data is shared by their trusted health authorities of choice and ensuring that data remains within the user’s device and control.
The Program, divided into two complementing tech solutions, aims to support Health Authorities and the General Public worldwide in contact tracing and helping users identify if they have crossed paths with other infected individuals anonymously, the solution ensures the user’s privacy and control on how his data is being managed and shared.
The two solutions are as follows:
Service for Contact Tracers (AKA Health Officials) designed to gather and filter through encrypted redacted data to find points of cross-infection between COVID-19 positive people and the general public for pandemic control measures.
COVID Safe Paths
Mobile apps (Android/iOS) that automatically log each user’s movement on the map online and offline, storing an encrypted version on the phone itself, the log can be then exported and shared with Health Officials, at user’s own free anonymous will, if the user is COVID-19 positive.
Sherif Kozman, CEO at Extreme Solution, Tech JEDI at Safe Paths said
“Safe Paths is different because it is pro-user privacy, meaning that it gives users complete power to privately log their locations, discover if they have been exposed and more importantly, control the use of their data completely. It is for safety and for privacy as well, they don’t have to go against each other.”
Ahmed Nagi, Software Engineer at Extreme Solution, collaborating in Safe Paths said
“COVID-19 threatens our families and friends, and it’s an opportunity to join SP team to protect them no matter what you do, every little contribution could make the world a better place.
SP contributors came from all around the world to make this happen, And I hope in a short time we look back to these days and be proud of the change that we made.”
